These skilled craftspeople use drawings to lay out and construct the frame of a structure. If you’ve ever driven down the road and seen the wooden or metal skeleton of a building in progress, you’re looking at the work of framers! They are responsible for assembling
wall, ceiling and floor frames, and preparing them to be covered by drywall, brick, stone, wood panels, etc. Their role is essential, and they are constantly coordinating with all the other professionals working on a project.

Technical School, Community College, Registered Apprenticeship Program, and Industry Training Program

Qualifications:

Students can start in high school where programs are available.
