Apprenticeships are an excellent way to earn while you learn a skilled trade. BYFAZ is proud to support Governor Hobb’s BuildItAZ initiative, focused on doubling the number of skilled trades apprenticeships by 2026. This page is a resource for graduating construction CTE seniors, parents, and high school counselors, providing a one-stop location to connect with a variety of skilled craft apprenticeships.

What is an Apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship is a paid job where the employee learns and gains valuable experiences alongside on-the-job training.

Apprenticeships also include classroom study. Approximately 20% of an apprentice’s working hours are completed classroom-based learning with a certified training provider.

This on-the-job training and classroom-based learning leading to nationally recognized certifications and qualifications.
